Financial Affairs Information Technology is comprised of three primary areas, all focused on our central purpose for existence, the customer.

What We Do

The Financial Affairs Information Technology  team  provides the employees of Financial Affairs with an unmatched level of service that exceeds their expectations.  They provide IT solutions, training, desktop and business system support, project management and business process analysis with a dedication to the highest quality of customer satisfaction.  Services are delivered with a sense of pride in being part of the Capstone of higher education.

FAIT Primary Units 

Infrastructure Services

The Infrastructure Services team provides system administration and desktop support for the division of Financial Affairs.  This team is responsible for maintaining a state-of-the-art data center hosting over 80 servers, both virtual and physical.  Customer service, security, and high network/system availability are the core components of this department’s business function.

Financial Affairs Information Technology Project Management Office (FAIT PMO)

The Financial Affairs Information Technology Project Management Office serves as an advocate for successfully completing projects that support the needs of our stakeholders.  The FAIT PMO coordinates communication among project team members and across sub projects, while developing and managing project plans, policies, procedures, and templates for the FAIT department.

The FAIT department is pleased to have multiple Project Management Professionals (PMP’s) serving on our team.  We gladly provide coaching, mentoring, and training to all (end users, project sponsors, stakeholders, co-workers, etc) on project management methodologies, guidelines, templates, and other project management related interests.

Application Services

Application Services provides reliable and responsive customer support and system development.  The Application Support team provides Tier 1 support by analyzing and troubleshooting system issues and customer concerns.  This team is the “voice” of our department and takes a lot of pride in providing superior customer service to our division.  The Application Development team provides Tier 2 support, along with web and interface development.  The Human Resource Information Services (HRIS) and UAPD IT Services are devoted to providing customer support and services for their respective business units.
